WORKSHOPS

Over the past two years the organisation has successfully facilitated free training programme with the country’s top business development and entrepreneur mentors at no charge. The organisation has managed to procure these speakers services donated, with food parcels and training programmes for all attendees.

The training session workshops are meant for start up micro enterprises from all religious, social backgrounds. It will be beneficial for business looking for support, coaching or mentoring. The instruction will be pitched at a level that will be easy to follow and understand and delegates are encouraged to take notes and engage presenters to enhance their learning. NO qualifications are necessary for participation or registration and attending. Delegates need to be keen to learn and benefit from the training. The expected outcomes for each session are defined and are always readily available online for attendees. Online Certificates of Attendance will be presented to delegates completing a session in full.

2013: Sales Workshop

In August 2013 we ran our first workshop to twenty young and interested wannabe entrepreneurs. This was a sales workshop which was presented by Jacques De Villiers; the presentation was so successful that it inspired the organization to produce a youth entrepreneurial programme which was rolled out in 2014.

2014: “2014 Entrepreneur Development Program”

We held eight monthly sessions at the University of Johannesburg Bunting Road Campus from March till October. Our presenter profiles included MBA graduates, Chartered Accountants, Professional self -development trainer and a labour law professor. The training attracted approximately 160 applicants from majority poor and developing communities and focussed on free business training, skills and mentoring workshops.

The main areas of learning that was targeted included: Start-up businesses, sales strategies, digital marketing, finance, growth strategies, business planning and your personal development.

2015:

Our aim for 2015 was to become more focussed with a program for those wanting to start up businesses and for those requiring support to grow their businesses. So we introduced 2 programmes:

Growing hands 2015 start-up program which was held from the 31 January 2015 till 14 March 2014 and the

Growing hands 2015 established business development program is from the 9 May 2015 till 13 June 2015.
