Our History:

The Growing Hands organisation was started by some of the Directors of Roshgold Group, which is an investment company based in Vereeniging.   In 2013 Growing Hands and Congress of Business and Economics (CBE) piloted this program.

In 2014 they expanded their Enterprise Development offering with practical solutions for your business and introduced the “Entrepreneur Development Program”.  This monthly training program was held for eight months at the University of Johannesburg Bunting Road Campus from March till October 2014.

The training attracted approximately 160 applicants from majority poor and developing communities and focussed on free business training, skills and mentoring workshops. For 2014, our presenter profiles included MBA graduates, Chartered Accountants, Professional self -development trainer and a labour law professor.

Our aim for 2015 was to become more focussed with a program for those wanting to start up businesses and for those requiring support to grow their businesses. So we introduced 2 programmes:

  • Growing hands 2015 Start-Up Program which was held from the 31ST January 2015 till 21ST  March 2014,
  • Growing hands 2015 Established Business Development program is from the 9TH May 2015 till 13TH June 2015.
